A LITTLE BACKGROUND ABOUT CRAZY DEE
Let me give a little background about myself. I attended Cleveland State University. There, while a freshman, I was taking 300 and 400 level English Classes getting A's! I wrote along side students who were going into law and or were graduating. They were my sounding boards; through study of their writing techniques and advice from my English Profs, I was able to develop my own unique style of writing. One advisor once told me, it is good to know the fundamentals of writing, but what I want to see is how you can stretch the bounds of writing to make your prose uniquely yours.
Sociology, Political Science, Anthropology and Science classes followed. Each one I took, I utilized what I learned, and applied the materials necessary to build the strong foundation I stand on today. I learned more about human nature on the college campus than anywhere else. The college campus is a microcosm of the world.
My work for and in the community began during my high school years, but I began to affect change and make a difference during my college days. I worked with various fraternal organizations by throwing large hall parties, and I become a registrar of voters, registering everyone I came across who was not registered.
My college life concluded, I advanced from being a DJ into becoming a well known producer of music, and I opened my store in 1997. I have been in business for 12 years. During the 12 years I have been interviewed and photographed by The Source Magazine (November 1999 Issue #122), by all of the local publications in the city and by various News Channels in the city of Cleveland.
During my 12 years in business I have worked for my community by releasing ‘music maker sheets’ (which gave the addresses and telephone numbers of organizations and governmental entities which are important to music makers), encouraging the youth to further education beyond high school (if it be in college or a trade school), and by registering new voters.
